Genesis, Chapter 11, The Tower of Babel, Where God Confused The Language of World

Comment: Based on the Bible as stated in verse 6, the purpose God confused the language of the people was to spoil the plan of the people to build a city and a tower. He was afraid that if they speak one language then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Therefore, He went there and confused their language.

Whereas in the Holy Quran, the difference of languages is a sign for men of sound knowledge and He made us into tribes and nation in order for us to know one another.

I hope you're not confuse with this point and come to a conclusion whether Islam or Christianity is the truth. You're well wisher.

Genesis, Chapter 11,
The Tower of Babel
The Holy Quran
1 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech.

2As people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.

3They said to each other, "Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly." They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar.

4Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth."

5But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that they were building.

6The LORD said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.

7Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."

8So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city.

9That is why it was called Babel —because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.

Surah Ar-Rum / Chapter 30

22. And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge.

Surah Al-Hujurat / Chapter 49

13. O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allâh is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa [i.e. one of the Muttaqûn (pious - see V.2:2)]. Verily, Allâh is All-Knowing, All-Aware.
