Verses From The Holy Quran & Sahih Bukhari regarding The Devils
The Devils will whisper to you to procrastinate in searching the truth. The ultimate aim of the devil (Iblis) and his cavalry is to ruined man's life in this world and hereafter. I have copied relevant info regarding devils from The Holy Quran & Sahih Bukhari. Want to know more about devils, go to details. Books written about the devils I will mentioned in the Book Section.
You will know how the devils attempt to deviate us from the right path and how they will approach us. One of their weapon is to whispers in our inner voice deviating taught, evil taught and also to think bad about God. May Allah S.W.T inspire us to think good in Him in whatever situation we are in, whether it is good or bad.
Thanks to Allah S.W.T & Prophet Muhamad (peace be upon Him), He has sent to us verses that we can read and pray to protect us from their disturbance, such as ayat Al-Kursi and Surah An-Nas. May Allah S.W.T protects us from the devils deceptions.
Dear reader, if you're Christian (disbeliever in the Oneness of God (Allah S.W.T)) spend some time to seek the truth. Don't wait until it is to late.
Surah Al-Waqi'ah, verse 83-96
83. Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat?
84. And you at the moment are looking on,
85. But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabarī, Vol.27, Page 209]
86. Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.)
87. Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful?
88. Then, if he (the dying person) be of the Muqarrabūn (those brought near to Allāh),
89. (There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise).
90. And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand,
91. Then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allāh) for (you as you are from) those on the Right Hand.
92. But if he (the dying person) be of the denying (of the Resurrection), the erring (away from the Right Path of Islāmic Monotheism),
93. Then for him is entertainment with boiling water.
94. And burning in Hell-fire.
95. Verily, this! This is an absolute Truth with certainty.
96. So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great.
Surah An-Nisa' (The Women)/ Chapter 4
In Name of Allah The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
117. They (all those who worship others than Allāh) invoke nothing but female deities besides Him (Allāh), and they invoke nothing but Shaitān (Satan), a persistent rebel!
118. Allāh cursed him. And he [Shaitān (Satan)] said: "I will take an appointed portion of your slaves;
119. Verily, I will mislead them, and surely, I will arouse in them false desires; and certainly, I will order them to slit the ears of cattle, and indeed I will order them to change the nature created by Allāh." And whoever takes Shaitān (Satan) as a Walī (protector or helper) instead of Allāh, has surely suffered a manifest loss.
120. He [Shaitan (Satan)] makes promises to them, and arouses in them false desires; and Shaitan's (Satan) promises are nothing but deceptions.
121. The dwelling of such (people) is Hell, and they will find no way of escape from it.
122. But those who believe (in the Oneness of Allāh - Islāmic Monotheism) and do deeds of righteousness, We shall admit them to the Gardens under which rivers flow (i.e. in Paradise) to dwell therein forever. Allāh's Promise is the Truth, and whose words can be truer than those of Allāh? (Of course, none).
Surah Al-A'raf (The Heights or The Wall with Elevation) / Chapter 7
In Name of Allah The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
11. And surely, We created you (your father Adam) and then gave you shape (the noble shape of a human being), then We told the angels, "Prostrate to Adam", and they prostrated, except Iblīs (Satan), he refused to be of those who prostrate.
12. (Allāh) said: "What prevented you (O Iblīs) that you did not prostrate, when I commanded you?" Iblīs said: "I am better than him (Adam), You created me from fire, and him You created from clay."
13. (Allāh) said: "(O Iblīs) get down from this (Paradise), it is not for you to be arrogant here. Get out, for you are of those humiliated and disgraced."
14. (Iblīs) said: "Allow me respite till the Day they are raised up (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)."
15. (Allāh) said: "You are of those allowed respite."
16. (Iblīs) said: "Because You have sent me astray, surely I will sit in wait against them (human beings) on Your Straight Path.
(Author's note, Actually God didn't sent him astray, the reason Iblis becomes astray because he didn't obeys Allah S.W.T command to prostrate to Prophet Adam a.s. and was arrogant to Allah S.W.T command refer to verse 13. Furthermore he didn't repent and ask forgiveness to Allah S.W.T. Whereas Prophet Adam a.s. when he was sent to earth, he prayed to Allah S.W.T for forgiveness and he was forgiven. )
17. Then I will come to them from before them and behind them, from their right and from their left, and You will not find most of them as thankful ones (i.e. they will not be dutiful to You)."
18. (Allāh) said (to Iblīs) "Get out from this (Paradise) disgraced and expelled. Whoever of them (mankind) will follow you, then surely I will fill Hell with you all."
19. "And O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in Paradise, and eat thereof as you both wish, but approach not this tree otherwise you both will be of the Zālimūn (unjust and wrongdoers)."
20. Then Shaitān (Satan) whispered suggestions to them both in order to uncover that which was hidden from them of their private parts (before); he said: "Your Lord did not forbid you this tree save you should become angels or become of the immortals."
21. And he [Shaitān (Satan)] swore by Allāh to them both (saying): "Verily, I am one of the sincere wellwishers for you both."
22. So he misled them with deception. Then when they tasted of the tree, that which was hidden from them of their shame (private parts) became manifest to them and they began to stick together the leaves of Paradise over themselves (in order to cover their shame). And their Lord called out to them (saying): "Did I not forbid you that tree and tell you: Verily, Shaitān (Satan) is an open enemy unto you?"
23. They said: "Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers."
24. (Allāh) said: "Get down, one of you an enemy to the other [i.e. Adam, Hawwa (Eve), and Shaitān (Satan), etc.]. On earth will be a dwellingplace for you and an enjoyment, - for a time."
25. He said: "Therein you shall live, and therein you shall die, and from it you shall be brought out (i.e.resurrected)."
26. O Children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover yourselves (screen your private parts, etc.) and as an adornment, and the raiment of righteousness, that is better. Such are among the Ayāt (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allāh, that they may remember (i.e. leave falsehood and follow truth ).
27. O Children of Adam! Let not Shaitān (Satan) deceive you, as he got your parents [Adam and Hawwa (Eve)] out of Paradise, stripping them of their raiments, to show them their private parts. Verily, he and Qabīluhu (his soldiers from the jinns or his tribe) see you from where you cannot see them. Verily, We made the Shayātin (devils) Auliyā' (protectors and helpers) for those who believe not.
28. And when they commit a Fāhisha (evil deed, going round the Ka'bah in naked state, every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse, etc.), they say: "We found our fathers doing it, and Allāh has commanded us of it." Say: "Nay, Allāh never commands of Fāhisha. Do you say of Allāh what you know not?
///
200. And if an evil whisper comes to you from Shaitān (Satan) then seek refuge with Allāh. Verily, He is All-Hearer, All-Knower.
201. Verily, those who are Al-Muttaqūn (the pious - see V.2:2), when an evil thought comes to them from Shaitān (Satan), they remember (Allāh), and (indeed) they then see (aright).
202. But (as for) their brothers (the disbelievers) they (i.e. the devils) plunge them deeper into error, and they never stop short.
Surah Ibrahim (Prophet Ibrahim a.s.) / Chapter 14
In Name of Allah The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
21. And they all shall appear before Allāh (on the Day of Resurrection) then the weak will say to those who were arrogant (chiefs): "Verily, we were following you; can you avail us anything from Allāh's Torment?" They will say: "Had Allāh guided us, we would have guided you. It makes no difference to us (now) whether we rage, or bear (these torments) with patience, there is no place of refuge for us."
22. And Shaitān (Satan) will say when the matter has been decided: "Verily, Allāh promised you a promise of truth. And I too promised you, but I betrayed you. I had no authority over you except that I called you, so you responded to me. So blame me not, but blame yourselves. I cannot help you, nor can you help me. I deny your former act in associating me (Satan) as a partner with Allāh (by obeying me in the life of the world). Verily, there is a painful torment for the Zālimūn (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.)."
23. And those who believed (in the Oneness of Allāh and His Messengers and whatever they brought) and did righteous deeds, will be made to enter Gardens under which rivers flow, - to dwell therein forever (i.e.in Paradise), with the permission of their Lord. Their greeting therein will be: Salām (peace!) .
24. See you not how Allāh sets forth a parable? - A goodly word as a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the sky (i.e. very high).
25. Giving its fruit at all times, by the Leave of its Lord and Allāh sets forth parables for mankind in order that they may remember.
26. And the parable of an evil word is that of an evil tree uprooted from the surface of earth having no stability.
Surah Al-Isra (The Journey by Night) / Chapter 17
In Name of Allah The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
61. And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate unto Adam." They prostrated except Iblīs (Satan). He said: "Shall I prostrate to one whom You created from clay?"
62. [Iblīs (Satan)] said: "See? This one whom You have honoured above me, if You give me respite (keep me alive) to the Day of Resurrection, I will surely seize and mislead his offspring (by sending them astray) all but a few!"
63. (Allāh) said: "Go, and whosoever of them follows you, surely! Hell will be the recompense of you (all) an ample recompense.
64. "And Istafziz [literally means: befool them gradually] those whom you can among them with your voice (i.e. songs, music, and any other call for Allāh's disobedience), make assaults on them with your cavalry and your infantry, mutually share with them wealth and children (by tempting them to earn money by illegal ways usury, etc., or by committing illegal sexual intercourse, etc.), and make promises to them." But Satan promises them nothing but deceit.
65. "Verily! My slaves (i.e the true believers of Islāmic Monotheism), you have no authority over them. And All-Sufficient is your Lord as a Guardian."
Surah Al-Furqan (The Criterion) / Chapter 25
In Name of Allah The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
26. The sovereignty on that Day will be the true (sovereignty), belonging to the Most Beneficent (Allāh), and it will be a hard Day for the disbelievers (those who disbelieve in the Oneness of Allāh Islāmic Monotheism).
27. And (remember) the Day when the Zālim (wrong-doer, oppressor, polytheist, etc.) will bite at his hands, he will say: "Oh! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger ( Muhammad S.A.W).
28. "Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as a friend!
29. "He indeed led me astray from the Reminder (this Qur'ān) after it had come to me. And Shaitān (Satan) is ever a deserter to man in the hour of need."
Surah Ar-Rahman (The Most Gracious) / Chapter 55
In Name of Allah The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
14. He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery.
15. And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire.
Surah Al-Jinn (The Jinn / Genie/ Devil) / Chapter 72
In Name of Allah The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
1. Say (O Muhammad S.A.W): "It has been revealed to me that a group (from three to ten in number) of jinns listened (to this Qur'ān). They said: 'Verily! We have heard a wonderful Recital (this Qur'ān)!
2. 'It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (Allāh).
3. 'And exalted be the Majesty of our Lord, He has taken neither a wife, nor a son (or offspring or children).
4. 'And that the foolish among us [i.e. Iblīs (Satan) or the polytheists amongst the jinns] used to utter against Allāh that which was wrong and not right.
5. 'And verily, we thought that men and jinns would not utter a lie against Allāh.
6. 'And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief.
7. 'And they thought as you thought, that Allāh will not send any Messenger (to mankind or jinns).
8. 'And we have sought to reach the heaven; but found it filled with stern guards and flaming fires.
9. 'And verily, we used to sit there in stations, to (steal) a hearing, but any who listens now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush.
10. 'And we know not whether evil is intended for those on earth, or whether their Lord intends for them a Right Path.
11. 'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary; we are groups each having a different way (religious sect, etc.).
12. 'And we think that we cannot escape (from the punishment of) Allāh in the earth, nor can we escape (from the punishment) by flight.
13. 'And indeed when we heard the Guidance (this Qur'ān), we believed therein (Islāmic Monotheism), and whosoever believes in his Lord shall have no fear, either of a decrease in the reward of his good deeds or an increase in punishment for his sins.
14. 'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allāh, after listening to this Qur'ān), and of us some are Al-Qāsitūn (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islām (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allāh), then such have sought the Right Path."
15. And as for the Qāsitūn (disbelievers who deviated from the Right Path), they shall be firewood for Hell,
16. If they (non-Muslims) had believed in Allāh, and went on the Right Way (i.e. Islām) We should surely have bestowed on them water (rain) in abundance.
17. That We might try them thereby. And whosoever turns away from the Reminder of his Lord (i.e. this Qur'ān, and practice not its laws and orders), He will cause him to enter in a severe torment (i.e. Hell).
18. And the mosques are for Allāh (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allāh.
19. (It has been revealed to me that) When the slave of Allāh (Muhammad S.A.W) stood up invoking (his Lord Allāh) in prayer to Him they (the jinns) just made round him a dense crowd as if sticking one over the other (in order to listen to the Prophet's recitation).
20. Say (O Muhammad S.A.W): "I invoke only my Lord (Allāh Alone), and I associate none as partners along with Him."
21. Say: "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or to bring you to the Right Path."
22. Say (O Muhammad S.A.W): "None can protect me from Allāh's punishment (if I were to disobey Him), nor should I find refuge except in Him.
23. "(Mine is) but conveyance (of the truth) from Allāh and His Messages (of Islāmic Monotheism), and whosoever disobeys Allāh and His Messenger, then verily, for him is the Fire of Hell, he shall dwell therein forever ."
24. Till, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who it is that is weaker concerning helpers and less important concerning numbers.
25. Say (O Muhammad S.A.W): "I know not whether (the punishment) which you are promised is near or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term.
26. "(He Alone) the All-Knower of the Ghā'ib (unseen), and He reveals to none His Ghā'ib (unseen)."
27. Except to a Messenger (from mankind) whom He has chosen (He informs him of unseen as much as He likes), and then He makes a band of watching guards (angels) to march before him and behind him.
28. [He (Allāh) protects them (the Messengers)], till He sees that they (the Messengers) have conveyed the Messages of their Lord (Allāh). And He (Allāh) surrounds all that which is with them, and He (Allāh) keeps count of all things (i.e. He knows the exact number of everything).
